Things get real personal really quick when hometown hottie and platinum-certified artist Kelly Rowland chops it up on 97.9 The Box with The Madd Hatta Morning Show. In addition to dishing on “Morning Wood” and discussing the inspiration for “Kisses Down Low,” Kelly also shares with the crew how Tina Knowles helped her overcome insecurities as a girl growing up in Houston.
“I remember Tina would take me to the mirror and say, ‘Girl, you know how gorgeous this chocolate skin is?,” Kelly said.
Kelly is busy awaiting the drop of her new album, “Talk a Good Game,” she says she is looking forward to coming home to the Bayou City for some good vittles and to spend time with good people.
Her new album is due out June 18th, she said.
