Jack Pardee, the former coach for the Houston Oilers and the University of Houston, has passed away.
Ted Pardee confirmed his father passed away today of complications from gall bladder cancer.
Pardee gained notoriety for his leadership skills and love for the sport. He was the only head coach to helm a team in college football, the NFL, the United States Football League, the World Football League, and the Canadian Football League.
Pardee was inducted into the college football hall of fame as a player in 1986. He coached the University of Houston Cougars from 1987 to 1989, and then coached the Houston Oilers from 1990 to 1994.
Pardee was 76 years old.
