A Clarksville, Tennessee man says he left his job because he was trying to save his soul.  According to the “Tennessean,” Walter Slonopas quit his job as a maintenance worker last week because his W-2 form was stamped with the number 666, which many Christians believe to be the “number of the beast.”  Slonopas says he believes if he had accepted the form and continued to work there he would have sold his soul to the devil.  Apparently, the number was mistakenly assigned to him by the company’s human resources department.  He was originally supposed to receive the number 668.  Now, Slonopas wants the company to give him a new W-2 without the unholy number so he can file his taxes.  But even if he receives a new form, Slonopas says he will not return to the company, because it would mean he sold out his faith for his job.  He says “God is worth more than money.”
