It’s being reported that the Houston Rockets have traded SF Chase Budinger to the Minnesota Timberwolves for the 18th pick in the 2012 NBA Draft.

They now have the 14th, 16th, & 18th picks in the draft. It appears that they aren’t done making moves yet either. Word is that they are shopping PG Kyle Lowry and SG Kevin Martin in an attempt to move up to the 5th pick.

All of this appears to be part of the bigger scheme which is landing Orlando Magic C Dwight Howard. He has one year left on his contract and would be a restricted free-agent after the 2012-13 season.

Rockets GM Daryl Morey has always been a buy low-sell high type of guy. Do you think he will do enough to land the Rockets it’s first superstar since Tracy McGrady & Yao Ming ran up and down the Toyota Center floor.
