(Los Angeles, CA)  —  Unleash the dog pound.  Arsenio’s coming back.  Actor and comedian Arsenio Hall has reportedly inked a deal with CBS Television Distribution to launch a new late night series.  The company was also the producing arm behind the wildly popular “Arsenio Hall Show” in the 1990s.  According to TheWrap.com, the still-untitled new show will launch in Fall 2013 and will be carried by Tribune Broadcasting stations.  Hall will also serve as executive producer of the new series.  In a statement, the recent “Celebrity Apprentice” winner said it was “an amazing feeling to be going HOME” to his old friends and colleagues, adding, “Let’s get busy… AGAIN!”

“The Arsenio Hall Show” ran from 1989 to 1994.  The series made Hall the first African-American late night talk show host.  It was also groundbreaking in the fact that it was the first and, for a time, the only showcase for hip-hop artists.  Arsenio also welcomed controversial guests to his show like Nation of Islam Leader Louis Farrakhan and became a television footnote when then-presidential candidate Bill Clinton dropped by the show to show off his saxophone-playing skills in 1992.
