An alleged thief in Canada was recently forced to give back a diamond worth 20-thousand-dollars the hard way.  According to CBC News, a salesperson at a Windsor, Ontario, jewelry store told police Richard Mackenzie Matthews swallowed the one-point-seven-carat gem earlier this month.  But instead of getting away with the diamond, Matthews was taken into custody and held in a cell without running water until he passed the jewel this past weekend.  The suspect was apparently willing to cooperate, as he agreed to take laxatives and other fluids to help get things moving.  Matthews has since been charged with theft of more than five-thousand-dollars, and could still face more charges once he appears in court.
