A middle school basketball coach in Massachusetts is facing several criminal charges after he allegedly channeled his inner Mike Tyson. Like the former boxer who infamously bit off a part of an opponent’s ear in the boxing ring, NBCConnecticut.com says Timothy Lee Forbes was arrested last Friday for reportedly committing a similar act. Forbes was the assistant coach for the team that lost in a boy’s championship game. Following the contest, Forbes allegedly assaulted the coach of the winning team and bit off part of his ear. Forbes fled the gym before police arrived, but he was eventually arrested and charged with multiple crimes such as mayhem and assault and battery. The victim was taken to a Springfield hospital where his ear was reattached.
