(Palo Alto, CA)  —  The biography Apple CEO Steve Jobs wanted written so his children would know him, will be released weeks earlier than planned.  Simon & Schuster is moving up the publication date for Walter Isaacson’s book entitled “Steve Jobs” to October 24th.  The publishing house had planned to release the book on November 21st.  Pulitzer Prize nominee Isaacson says he visited with Jobs a few weeks ago.  The author asked the man who kept his family life very private why he authorized a tell-all biography, and Jobs said, “I wanted my kids to know me.  I wasn’t always there for them and I wanted them to know why and to understand what I did.”  The book is already the number one bestseller on Amazon.com’s customer purchase list.  Jobs died Wednesday after a long battle with pancreatic cancer.  He was 56 years old.
