Cars, buses and METRORail aren’t the only vehicles that will be traveling through downtown Houston for the next few weeks.
The holiday trolleys are back… — and they’re free!
Sandesh Talgari and his two boys took advantage of the trolley, which travels between all of downtown Houston’s attractions.
“You can explore downtown and go to the aquarium,” Talgari said.
Friday nights and all day Saturday and Sunday, two trolleys take visitors to and from stops including:
- Theater District
- Houston Pavilions
- Downtown Aquarium
- Shops at Houston Center
- Main Street
- Downtown Macy’s
- Hobby Center
- Tranquility Park
- Discovery Green
“You can park in one spot and you can walk around two blocks, get out at every stop walk around and explore it” Talgari said.
“(It) sounds like a real good option because parking everywhere is kind of challenging sometimes,” visitor Jack Bailey said.
The trolley will treat riders to a few perks.
“Christmas music, a nice ride, and a trip down to Discovery Green,” trolley driver Tamie Walker said.
The holiday trolley runs through New Year’s Eve weekend. It runs from 6 to 11:30 p.m. on Fridays, 11 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. on Saturdays and 11 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Sundays.
