(Undated)  —  One of the stars of MTV’s hit reality series “Jersey Shore” reportedly needed medical treatment while shooting scenes for the show’s current season.  According to RadarOnline.com, Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi was taken to a Miami hospital back in May for alcohol poisoning.  One insider discussed the incident saying, quote, “She was so drunk that she had to be carried out of the nightclub Dream by the show’s producers.”  “Jersey Shore’s” producers decided not to air the incident in last week’s episode.  This isn’t the first time that a scene involving Snooki has been cut from “Jersey Shore.”  The show’s higher-ups chose not to air a scene from season one which showed the reality TV star being punched by a man at a bar.

Snooki’s hospitalization is also not the first time that her alcohol use has made headlines.  She was arrested in July for being intoxicated on a New Jersey beach.  She pleaded guilty to disturbing the peace and was sentenced to two days of community service.  The second season of MTV’s “Jersey Shore” airs Thursday nights at 10:00 p.m. Eastern.
