PEARLAND, Texas – A local little league baseball team will battle Thursday evening for a spot in the Little League World Series.

Pearland, the Texas East state champion, will face Texas West champ Eagle Pass at 6 p.m. for the regional title.

A win would put Pearland in the Little League World Series in Williamsport, Pennsylvania. It would be the furthest the team has ever advanced.

In the semifinals of the Southwestern Region Little League tournament, pitcher Beau Orland tossed three no-hit innings and swatted three hits in helping Pearland to a 10-0 run-rule win over Grand Junction (Colorado).
