Big Sean Ignites the Wild Tour in The Woodlands

Big Sean brought the energy when he opened for Russ at the Into the W!LD Tour stop at The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion in The Woodlands on July 29, 2025. I was super excited to see him because growing up he was one of my favorite rappers! This was actually my third time seeing him live—my first was back in undergrad, and he surprised the crowd by bringing out Pusha T. To this day, that’s still one of my favorite concert memories! At the Wild Tour, Sean kicked off his set with commanding presence, rolling through fan favorites like “My Last,” “Marvin & Chardonnay,” “Dance (Ass),” and “Play No Games.” Every track had the crowd vibing and singing back every word. And just when it felt like he’d reached his peak—Sean closed strong with his iconic smash “I Don’t F* With You,”** proving he still knows how to deliver in full force.
Big Sean’s latest album Better Me Than You dropped last August, and it’s easily one of his most personal projects yet. He really opened up on this one—talking about everything from fatherhood and mental health to his own spiritual growth. It’s clear he’s in a different headspace now, and you can hear that in the music. While some people felt like the album had a few too many tracks, the storytelling and production still hit. Songs like “Break the Cycle” with Charlie Wilson and “Million Pieces” really stand out. It’s not packed with radio hits, but it shows a more grown, reflective version of Big Sean—and honestly, it feels like the most him he’s ever been.
