Arlington, Virginia is America’s fittest city for the eighth year in a row. That’s according to the annual American Fitness Index put out by the American College of Sports Medicine and Elevance Health Foundation, which ranks the country’s 100 most populous cities on metrics like trail miles, bike lanes, obesity rates and vegetable consumption. Washington, DC was number two, followed by Seattle, San Francisco and Denver.

Least Physically Fit Cities

Oklahoma City is the least physically fit city in America. That’s according to the annual American Fitness Index. A Texas city was second from the bottom. Lubbock was criticized for bad eating habits and few places to exercise. San Antonio was also near the bottom of the list, put out by the American College of Sports Medicine.
