The Walt Disney Company is acting like Thanos right now in grabbing so many Hollywood entertainment properties. Months after the Mouse purchased 21st Century Fox (which also included a stake in Hulu), they made the move to acquire the streaming service outright. And today, they’ve done just that.

Disney and Comcast announced a new deal, giving Disney full operational control of Hulu going forward. The move takes effect immediately, even as Comcast still owns 33% of the popular streaming company.

At the moment, there’s a five-year tentative contract in place. As early as 2024, Comcast can require Disney to purchase NBCUniversal’s 33% ownership stake. At the same time, Disney could require NBCUniversal to sell that stake at fair market value.

So yeah, Disney now has ownership of almost everything in Hollywood now as people begin to prepare for the upcoming streaming wars with Netflix, Disney Plus and more. All we know is, Mickey Mouse has the Infinity Gauntlet is is pulling different companies into the fold.
