Days after it was revealed that famed OJ Simpson prosecutor Chris Darden would be representing Nipsey Hussle‘s alleged killer in court, his daughter Jernee Darden has come out stating that she’s been harassed.

Darden’s decision to represent the alleged killer has created a wave of backlash, not just for him — but for his family too.

Jerneé, one of Chris Darden’s adult children wrote a lengthy Instagram post stating that her father is “a grown man” and she has “no say in the cases he takes on.”

“Like many of you, I found out about my father’s involvement in the case while scrolling through social media,” she wrote. “I was not prepared for this  backlash that has triggered bad memories from the OJ Simpson trial.”

Jerneé continued on, saying she grew up in a community similar to Nipsey’s and understand why his death hits hard for so many people around the globe, to lose a figure of that stature and might to a senseless murder.

She also has a message for those attacking her online, saying they should channel their energy towards continuing Nipsey’s legacy by strengthening communities and continuing to uplift one another.

Jenee goes on to say that the folks who are attacking her online should channel their energy toward continuing Nipsey’s legacy by strengthening communities and continuing to uplift one another. She will be praying for peace for Nipsey’s family and hoping that they get justice.
