D.C. and Warner Bros. will be looking for another Man Of Steel.

Henry Cavill is reportedly out as Superman in the DC Universe after portraying the Last Son of Krypton in three films (Man Of Steel, Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice, Justice League). The Hollywood Reporter says talks broke down between Cavill and Warner Bros after Superman was supposed to make a cameo in the upcoming Shazam film.

D.C.’s focus for the Man Of Steel isn’t even about him but rather Supergirl as there’s a slate of Supergirl film and materials in the works. The film’s focus is an origin story featuring a teen heroine. That would phase out Cavill age wise playing Clark Kent as per D.C. lore — he’d be an infant.

The move now means the DECU is without Batman AND Superman. Who knows what may happen next?
