After a tough loss on Sunday, Tennessee Titans quarterback had a tough post game presser with a little edge and a lot of disappointment in his voice. During his after game news conference, Marcus Mariota was obviously short with reporters and by Wednesday he was apologizing to the media attending their practice.
Mariota told the media, “Real quick, I want to say I am sorry for the way handled the press conference. I know not everybody that was there is here. But I was rude and inappropriate, and I just want to say I apologize for it.”
“It’s funny, because I got an earful of it from my mom, so that’s how I was raised and I appreciate you guys understanding.”
Mariota admitted that he was “pissed” after their loss, the way he played and the injured sprained knee he abstained during the game too. On Wednesday he said his knee was “good” and was fully participating during practice.
Mariota is known for his kindness during interviews dating back to his Oregon days when he was considered more cordial and polite then the other players.
