On Tuesday, the former NFL running back and the 1998 Heisman Trophy Winner Ricky Williams was arrested during a routine traffic violation stop.
Williams is ok, he’s already out of jail, but Williams was pulled over for another traffic violation where he was arrested after the officer discovered that Williams had open warrants for his arrest.
The warrants were old, but they stemmed from multiple outstanding traffic warrants in Austin, Texas.

This isn’t his first arrest this year because back in January he was arrested in Tyler, Texas while he was in town for the Earl Campbell Tyler Rose Award banquet.
After his arrest and release in January, Williams claimed his arrest was racial profiled by the Tyler, Texas police.
Williams played four years with the Texas Longhorns at the University of Texas where he won Big 12 Player of the Year honors in both 1997 and 1998.
Williams is also the second Texas Longhorn player to win the Heisman Trophy, the first was Earl Campbell in 1977.
Currently, Williams is an analyst for the Longhorn Network.
