According to CNN, rescuers are continually searching for survivors as many people are trapped under collapsed buildings.
This strong earthquake also came on the anniversary of the devastating 1985 quake killing thousands.
President Enrique Peña Nieto says “22 bodies were found in the debris of an elementary school in Mexico City that collapsed due to the earthquake. At least 30 children were still missing Tuesday night.”
Just one week after the 8.1 magnitude earthquake in Mexico killing at least 90, the country is facing a new national emergency.
