Houston Texans v Carolina Panthers

Ok Fantasy Footballers, check your rooster because they announced that the Carolina Panters quarterback Cam Newton is out for their second preseason game against the Titans.
On Friday Newton had his surgically repaired shoulder re-evaluated and that’s when the final decision was made.
The Panthers will start the backup Derek Anderson and they will also play Joe Webb and Garrett Gilbert too.
They said that Newton did not throw during either of the team joint practices.
“You could tell he was rusty,” Rivera said Thursday. “A couple late [balls] on the decisions he made. When he was throwing the ball, he was throwing the ball well, so we’re not concerned about that.

“Now it’s just a matte roof him working himself back into shape where he can go out and take normal reps instead of us having to make sure we monitor him.”
Rivera said that he’s OK with Newton not playing in any preseason games, but he has hopes that Newton will be ready for their Sept. 10 per at San Francisco.
