The video is graphic, but the New Orleans police are still searching for suspects connected in the brutal beating of a couple of tourist over the weekend on the French Quarter.
The victims were walking when four men walked up behind them, knocking one out. That victim you can see in the video lying motionless on the street. He’s facedown and blood is pooling around him while the suspects rob him of his wallet and cell phone.
The person he was walking with was also hit and robbed, but he wasn’t knocked out unconscious.

There were bystanders who came to render assistance to the pair. Both men were in town for a General Assembly of the Unitarian Universalist Association from Boston.
The men were identified by the UUA officials as James Curran and Tim Byran, both are staffers.
“These people committed this crime out of the eyes of the police, nearly 50 police officers were working in this area that night, but they did not commit this crime out of the eyes of the community,” NOPD Superintendent Michael Harrison said Monday. “We’re coming for you.”
“In just a little while, everybody is going to see you. Everybody is going to know who yo are,” Harrison said. “We’re going to make you pay and hold you accountable for what you did.”
The victims were taken to the hospital, Mr. Curran was treated and released and Mr. Byran remains critical condition as of Monday.
Crimestoppers said they want any tips if anyone recognizes the assailants… 504-822-1111.
