Burning Car detroit WCHB

Shanta Jordan’s quick actions likely saved a young boy’s life when she threw her body in front an out-of-control car that was coming directly at the boy.
It happened in Bridgeport, Connecticut and you can see in the surveillance footage when Shanta attempted to push the child out of the way of the car’s impact.

Santa did suffer serious injuries and even though she pushed the kid aside, he suffered serious injuries too. The video is vivid and you see people flying and legs in the air, but you do see that Shanta took the initial impact of the vehicle’s crash.
“If she did not step in, the child would be in direct contact with the motor vehicle against the wall, and most likely, he would have perished,” Bridgeport chief A.J. Perez said. “He would have died.”
The doctors have said that the boy might lose both his legs due to the accident, but they did everything they could to save them.
The drive of the car is in the hospital recovering too, but he will be facing reckless driving and other charges too.
