UPDATE: ISIS claims responsibility for the Manchester Bombing.

British police confirmed Monday night 22 people were killed and 59 injured, including children, in an explosion at Manchester Arena during an Ariana Grande concert.

According to CNN, ISIS is taking full responsibility for the attack.  “The attacker, I can confirm, died at the arena. We believe the attacker was carrying an improvised explosive device, which he detonated, causing this atrocity,” said Chief Constable Ian Hopkins. Police took into custody an additional 23 year-old male for a possible connection.

Law officials are working to establish whether this is true. This incident is the largest terrorist attack on British soil since the 2005 London Bombing, which killed 52 people. “We now know that a single terrorist detonated his improvized explosive device near one of the exits of the venue, deliberately choosing the time and place to cause maximum carnage and to kill and injure indiscriminately,” Prime Minister Theresa May of Britain said in a televised statement.

The actual explosion happened outside the arena which holds up to 20,000 people and this night was filled with many young people. Numerous videos posted to social media show panicked concert-goers, many young children fleeing the scene, separated from parents.
