The Houston Texans’ wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins said he gave his former teammate some words of advice when he decided to sign with division rival team, the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Apparently, Hopkins told A.J. Bouye that since he signed with the Jags that he better block him, “on third down” since the Jags star cornerback Jalen Ramsey couldn’t, “get the job done.”
Ramsey and Hopkins have a mini-rival brewing that was obvious during last seasons games against each other.

Ramsey told ESPN, “I respect his game. He knows that. He respects my game as well. You’ve got bring some fire. You’ve go to bring some rivalry into it.”
Last season Hopkins had a battle of quarterbacks and failed to score during both games against the Jags.
During the Week 10 win over the Jags, Hopkins had 48 yard and five catches of 13 targets and in Week 15, he had 87 yards off a 17 targets.
During one of those games, Houston’s head coach called Ramsey a “very talented guy” and thinks that Jacksonville is building a young defense center around Ramsey.
Ramsey also told ESPN, “It was purely entertainment for me.” and he continues with saying, “… You’ve got to bring some rivalry in to it. Everybody’s always talking about how our [division] is weak. We’re trying to bring some fire to it.”
