Today McDonald’s made a shocking announcement that will be switching from frozen patties for fresh beef patties, hot and made to order for their Quarter pounder burgers.
During his press release, the President of McDonald’s USA Chris Kempczinski said, “I’m pleased to announce by mid-next year, all McDonald’s USA will be begin making all our Quarter Pounders with fresh beef patties hot off the grill. Only cooked right when you order them.”

He also said, “we only serve 100 percent beef with absolutely no fillers, preservatives or additives across all of our burgers. Nothing else but a pinch of salt and pepper.”
The fast-food restaurant said that they plan on cooking these fresh beef on a “Signature Craft” line, but they will keep those small frozen beef patties for their cheeseburgers and their Big Macs.
This announcement came two weeks after they said they had expanded the testing of the fresh beef concept in more than 300 fast-food restaurants in the Dallas area, 55 restaurants across the Dallas-Fort Worth area and 75 restaurants across northeast Oklahoma.
The testing began started in the spring of last year.
A McDonald’s Dallas-Fort Worth franchisee Joe Jasper said that the tests “received overwhelmingly positive feedback from customers and employees.”
McDonald’s admitted to losing 500 million customer transactions in the USA since 2012, removal of their Dollar Menu.
“Over the past two years, we’ve made a series of bold, tangible changes for our customers,” said CEO Steve Easterbrook.  “Serving All-Day Breakfast, moving to cage-free eggs and testing delivery are all proof of our commitment to build a better McDonald’s.”
