Yesterday’s appearance at Los Angeles PaleyFest, Cuba Gooding, Jr. cause a bit of controversy when he and the rest of the Season 6 cast of the FX series, “American Horror Story: Roanoke” were on stage.
The incident happened when his onscreen wife, actress Sarah Paulson stood-up to greet fellow co-star Kathy Bates.
It was then that Cuba stood-up too and without warning, lifted the back of Sarah’s dress.
It’s unknown why Cuba did this, but it did cause a shriek from Sarah once she realized what he was doing to her dress.
The pair never addressed the issue, but viewers took to Twitter voicing their disapproval of Cuba’s actions.

One person said, “@cubagoodingjr hi, dude. did you apologize to Sarah? you should if you didn’t bc what you did was Gross and Disrespectful.”
Here are a few other tweets….
“FYI the reason @MsSarahPaulson is smiling is bc @MsKathyBates, then screams out of shock at the disrespectful actions of @cubagoodingjr.”
“Um… so is @cubangoodingjr allowed to get away with lifting @MsSarahPaulson skirt at @paleycenter? Total disrespect to a woman.”
There’s no telling if he had one too many drinks before appearing on stage Sunday, but isn’t the only time Cuba has received a reactions for his odd behavior.
Back in December Cuba “raised eyebrows” when he gave an expletive-filled speech while presenting an award to a designer pal John Varvatos at the Footwear News Achievement Awards.
His speech was, “Nothing says I love you like f***ing sugar. F***ing boxed lunched. I’m drunk now, motherf***ers. Deal with it.”
He didn’t finish there… he continued with saying, “I thought the BET Awards were cheap. In the words of Spike Lee, excuse my language but, they can f**k you too, Spike.”
