It looks like Trey Songz will be heading to trial.

Back in December, the singer was charged with aggravated assault and assaulting a cop after he allegedly punched a police sergeant during his Detroit, Michigan performance. Police say Trey became angry when he was told to end his set, at which point things got out of hand. Authorities also allege microphones and speakers were thrown from the stage.

Following his arraignment this past Friday, Trey was offered a plea deal that would’ve reduced the felony to a misdemeanor with two years on probation. But according to Billboard, Trey declined the offer, although it remains on the table.

In the midst of all this legal trouble, Trey is gearing up to drop Tremaine the Album, due March 24. His first single “Song Goes Off” is available for streaming on Apple Music now and you can also watch the video below.
