The Fader Fort will celebrate 16 years in Austin, Texas for SXSW with four days of live performances.
From March 15-18 artists include Young M.A., Cardi B, Downtown Boys, Lizzo, Kap G, and more.
In a return and nod to The FADERs inaugural showcase in 2001, this years The FADER FORT is relocating to a new, intimate venue at 1209 East 6th Street (Volcom Garden) for an exclusive experience that features some of the most influential names in music, art, and culture.
Maintaining the enthralling energy and true spirit of music discovery unique to The FADER FORT, this years event offers invited fans the rare opportunity to be a part of a special experience, reminiscent of its legendary roots, in a multi-use, indoor and outdoor space for the arts. Further details including additional artist performances and on-site activations to be announced at a later date.
The FADER will once again share exclusive content via live stream from The FADER FORT on TheFADER.com. For the first time, The FADER will host daily video recaps, with comedian Zack Fox providing an insiders look at The FADER FORT this year. Fans around the world are invited to experience The FADER FORT by tuning in for performances on stage, exclusive interviews including artist-on-artist discussions, as well as intimate, behind-the-scenes moments captured on TheFADER.com/FORT. In addition, content will be available throughout the day across The FADERs social channels including Facebook Live and Instagram.

Rock Show for Kids presented by Toyota on Thursday, March 16, is the flagship program of the Childrens Cancer Association, that features an in-hospital program including bedside sing-a-longs led by trained music specialists, instrument and iPad lending from mobile music carts, and live concerts from national recording artists.
The FADER, the publication that originally brought The FADER FORT to Austin in 2001, has been credited with bringing early performances of then unknown acts including The Black Keys, Florence and the Machine, Amy Winehouse, Sam Smith, and more to the stage early on in their careers.
