Today, McDonald’s is handing out free bottles of their Big Mac sauce for the first time in the United States.
The give-away comes as a celebration of the introduction of their two new “Big Macs” sandwiches called the Mac Jr. and the Grand Mac.
They listed on their website that, “McDonald’s USA will be giving away 10,000 limited edition bottles of beloved Big Mac Special Sauce on January 26 at participating restaurants nationwide.”
“The Big Mac Sauce is unique to McDonald’s and includes a classic combination of ingredients. The Big Mac Sauce remains timeless and customers around the world continue to enjoy its signature taste,” McDonald’s spokeswoman Becca Hary said in an e-mailed statement.
As far as Houston, Texas, the sauce is easy to get to… you need to go to one of five locations and saying, “There’s a Big Mac for that” to one of the employees working and remember that the bottles are first come first serve.
Here are the participation locations in and around town:
- 1. 8147 Katy Freeway
- 2. 1619 South Loop West
- 3. 6000 Richmond Avenue
- 4. 4100 University Drive
The company also announced that on Friday they are auctioning off 10,001 bottles that will benefit the Ronald McDonald House Charities.
