Tracee Ellis Ross has been a hit on social media and with critics for Black-ish. Now, the 44-year-old just made history as the first black woman to win Best Performance by an Actress in a Television Series – Musical or Comedy in over 30 years. Debbie Allen won for Fame back in 1983.

In a heartfelt speech, Ross, who is the daughter of Diana Ross, said, “This is for all the women of color and colorful people whose stories, ideas, thoughts are not always considered worthy and valid and important. But I want you to know I see you, we see you.”
