What’s a party without a few Red Solo Cups? Basically, “a party ain’t a party” if the signature cup isn’t involved.

In this weeks list of tragic, sudden deaths, the inventor of the populated Red Solo Cup, Robert Leo Hulseman has passed away at the age of 84.

CNN reports that the man who invented the cups died last week.

The Solo Cup Company was birthed from a family business started by Robert’s father in 1936 in which Robert started working for the company when he was just 18. Eventually, he worked his way up to CEO of the company helping it grow into one of the largest food service packaging companies in the world.

Thanks to Robert and his father, Red Solo Cups will always the primary container for a good time with friends & family.

Our prayers go out to his immediate family and friends.
