The 26-year-old explains, quote, “I’ve been on marijuana since a teenager. I need some rehab. Jail is not rehab.” Boosie isn’t happy about being locked up, but admits that it was his own poor decisions that landed him in prison. The rapper does, however, believe that he is being unfairly targeted for being a celebrity. He adds, quote, “They’re treating me on who they think I am.”

Lil Boosie, whose real name is Torrence Hatch, was arrested in October 2008 for his third marijuana-possession charge. He pled guilty to third-degree possession of marijuana this past September and was sentenced to two years in jail. The sentence was extended to four years on November 10 when it was discovered that Lil Boosie violated the terms of his house arrest to fulfill two concert dates. Lil Boosie is currently being held at Louisiana’s Winn Correctional Center.
