There’s so much passion in Rihanna’s voice when she sings “Love On The Brain,” could it be because she’s in love with Drake? We’re even more confused after tonight’s VMAs awards.

Drake presented Rihanna with Video Vanguard Award after her fourth performance and things got really interesting when the “Hotline Bling” rapper admitted he’s been in love with the Bajan beauty since he was 22-years-old.

Ri Ri blushed as Drizzy gushed over her achievements in music. He even recalled the first time they met and how she’d only skip crop over to attend his OVO Fest. If that wasn’t loving enough, he also took out a billboard to congratulate her on being the Vanguard recipient. He’s a hopeless romantic.

While it seemed Ri Ri and Drake were finally announcing their coupledom, Ri Ri ducked Drake’s kiss when they leaned in for a hug, playing it cool. Maybe she got cold feet?

The Internet moved swiftly with their reactions:

Ri Ri probably ducked Drake because the moment wasn’t about their rumored romance, but about her accepting MTV’s highest honor.

“I can’t believe I’m receiving a Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award at age 28,” she said.

Rihanna revealed how proud she is to be a Black woman in her acceptance speech and how it feels to bring the award back to her hometown of Barbados.
