On Monday night the USA Basketball team had a friendly exhibition game against Nigeria at the Toyota Center before they headed out to Rio de Janerio for the 2016 Summer Olympics.
It was amazing to see that one of the spectators was the legendary sideline reporters, Craig Sager.
In July, we saw Sager at the ESPSY awards receiving the Jim Valvano Award and telling everyone watching that he is still in his battle against his leukemia, saying that, “I will continue to keep fighting, sucking the marrow out of life as life sucks the marrow out of me.”

Since Sager is not able to make the trip to Brazil, but it was nice to see that he was able to catch the team while they both were in Houston for one reason or the other.
We know that Sager receives treatment at M.D. Anderson and he’s currently in need of a third bone marrow transplant.
It looks like the USA Basketball team will miss his sideline appearances at the 2016 Summer Olympics too.
