I think that everyone has heard about the Stanford College rape trial.
This is the trial where a California Judge handed 20-year old, Brock Turner a six-month sentence inside the county jail.
Lena Dunham and her cast members of her HBO show, ‘Girls’ decided to post a Public Service Announcement calling for action against sexual assaults. The video is in regards to the woman who was raped unconscious last year at the college.
In her tweet, Lena Dunham post,

The cast members start introducing themselves and Zosia starts saying that, “According to the CDC, 1 in 5 women will be sexually assaulted during her lifetime.”
Allison says, “And 80% of those cases, those attacks will be committed by someone they know.”
Jemima says, “1 in 4 girls will be sexually abused before the age of 18.”
Towards the end of the PSA, Allison says, “Don’t avoid the hard conversation. You already have the power to create a safer, healthier environment for women to come forward.”
The question is, “Why, a difficult reaction, as a society to ‘Disbelieve, to Silence, or to Shame'”
Their ending of it all simply ask you, “So please support, listen, take action, not because she’s someone’s daughter, someone’s girlfriend or someone’s sister… she is someone”
This is a PSA of awareness to help someone who has become a victim or needs help in any assault case.
What do you think, should there be more PSA ‘s showing support of sexual assault, RAPE or abuse?
