Spike Lee

It looks like Spike Lee is #TeamBernie all the way.

For the legendary film director, Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders is the right person for the job as Leader of the Free World.

According to the relentless NY Knicks fan, Sanders “will do the right thing.”

From The Wall Street Journal:

During the final push toward Saturday’s South Carolina Democratic Primary, director Spike Lee is telling voters here that Sen. Bernie Sanders “will do the right thing” in the White House.

Rep. James Clyburn, the unofficial dean of the South Carolina Democratic Party, is making his own pitch, saying that Hillary Clinton‘s depth of experience is unmatched.

With the Democratic candidates’ first test in the South approaching, a battle of high-profile surrogates is intensifying as Mrs. Clinton and Mr. Sanders vie for the support of African-American voters, who are expected to make up more than half of the primary electorate in the Palmetto State.

The article goes on to cite Sanders’ popularity with young voters, whereas Hillary Clinton struck a chord with voters over 45.

Just as Mr. Sanders has rallied the support of younger voters during the first contests of 2016 and Mrs. Clinton has been bolstered by voters over 45, many of the endorsements they’ve secured from prominent African-Americans also reveal cultural and generational differences.

We’re keeping an open mind over here at Global Grind, but we’re happy to know who Spike’s sided with.
