Rick Ross

UPDATE: Monday, Dec 21st 10 A.M.

What’s a banned album when you’re the Bawse? Rick Ross had something to say about Walmart’s decision to stop selling Black Market. He’s instead aligning with another really big team: Target.

Talking badly about Donald Trump may cost you some big bucks.

Multinational retail corporation Walmart has decided to stop selling Rick Ross‘ latest album Black Market, due to a lyric he included in a song about assassinating the Republican presidential candidate. The lyric stems from the track “Free Enterprise,” in which he raps, “Assassinate Trump like I’m Zimmerman / Now accept these words as they came from Eminem.”

Black Market was also pulled from Walmart’s website. According to Billboard, “A writer named Mark Dice claims that Walmart removed the album from its inventory after he contacted the company about the lyric. He says that his complaint was also sent to other major retailers, including Amazon, Target and iTunes. At the time of publication, the album is still available on all three outlets’ websites.”

Neither Ross nor Walmart have responded to comments. Thoughts?
