In today’s unexpected news, one of the world’s most wanted drug lords reportedly “declared war” on ISIS.

El Chapo, who’s been on the run since his escape from a Mexican federal prison earlier this year, allegedly sent an encrypted email to ISIS leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi after one of his drug shipments was destroyed. His letter was published on, and states his men will “destroy” the terrorist group should they continue to “impact my operation.”

But the letter was later claimed to be a hoax, initially set up by blogging website ThugLifeVideo. It was started by Steve Charnock and his boss, who thought of the idea on November 30. Upon posting it on the site, neither of the men expected it to hit the mainstream media. And when it did, they knew they had to set the story straight and contacted the Daily Mail to do so.

Charnock said not one of the news outlets contacted him to clarify the information.
