The 52nd Annual GRAMMY Awards - Backstage

Eminem has partnered with Genius, the song lyric company, and will continue his current streak of annotating his new songs on the site. In addition, Genius will power the “official lyrics engine for Eminem.com and all of Shady Records’ online properties.” In a statement, “The Monster” rapper said he was glad to be part of the process.

“Coming up we would always obsess over the lyrics from our favorite MCs. Picking everything apart, trying to get into their heads. I still do that today and Genius helps to make it a worldwide conversation. Pretty amazing to me,” he said.

Em joins Pharrell Williams and Nas, who also personally annotates their song lyrics.

Justin Timberlake is getting back to his Nashville roots. The blue-eyed crooner joined country up-and-comer Chris Stapleton (who won New Artist of the Year) at this year’s Country Music Awards. The duo performed two songs: Stapleton’s signature “Tennessee Whiskey” and Timberlake’s cover of “Drink You Away.” They brought down the house, leaving viewers wanting more from the dynamic performers. We see an official track with the two in their future…

US-POLICE-RACISM-CRIME-PROTEST

Controversial director Quentin Tarantino has gone on the defense with his recent comments about police brutality. The Hateful Eight creator credited his remarks and appearance at an anti-police rally to his First Amendment right when he sat down with Chris Hayes from MSNBC.

“In those cases in particular that we’re talking about, I actually do believe that they were murdered,” said Tarantino. “And they were deemed murder.”

The NYPD says Tarantino is a “cop hater” and called for a boycott of his upcoming film. The Hateful Eight hits theaters Christmas Day.

Speaking of Christmas, it’s extra special this year. Toy makers Hasbro are rolling out a line for Star Wars VIII: The Force Awakens, and fans are ready to get their hands on it. A week before Christmas, kids and adults alike will be able to enjoy the Battle Action Millennium Falcon, a model freighter that comes complete with a Chewbacca, droid, and a fully realized cockpit. The price tag isn’t for the faint of heart – this alone retails for around $150. Take a look at the rest of the toys here.
