Halloween is still a few days away, but we’ve already seen some offensive blackface costumes because, ignorance. This time, it’s a Nicki Minaj wannabe.
A Florida High School student named Emma dressed as the female emcee and was accompanied by “Drake” during her school’s homecoming. Her date decided to stay on the right side of history and didn’t change his skin color, but he did have Drake’s signature beard drawn on. Emma wasn’t so smart. Aside from the teen’s arms, face, and neck being darkened, she also rocked a bleach blonde wig and wore a fake butt. The Twitter account that posted the images was quickly put into private mode, and eventually deleted. But as per usual, screenshots last forever.

This incident comes just one day after a teacher from Alabama was put on blast for wearing blackface as part of his Kanye West costume. His wife’s classic response to the allegations of racial insensitivity? “Some of my husband’s best friends are black.”
As Halloween parties begin to ramp up towards the end of the week, expect several boneheaded teenagers and adults alike to make the mistake of wearing blackface. Because apparently, they will never learn.
