Trey Songz And Chris Brown In Concert - Atlanta, GA

Another day, another issue with Chris Brown.

Tyler, the Creator isn’t the only American artist having a hard time with immigration in Australia. Chris Brown’s 2009 domestic violence conviction against Rihanna is coming back to bite him in the ass. It’s been six years since the incident, but Australia doesn’t want a perpetrator of domestic violence to enter their country.

It’s weird that Australia’s immigration department is choosing to crack down on the singer now, because he’s been Down Under two times since 2009. But Minister for Women, Michaelia Cash, doesn’t want Breezy to tour in her homeland.

In a statement to the BBC, she said:

“People need to understand, if you are going to commit domestic violence and you want to travel around the world, there are going to be countries that say to you, ‘You cannot come in because you are not of the character that we expect in Australia.’”

The “Liquor” singer got on Instagram to address the issue with Australia’s immigration department and maintained that he’s not officially banned from the country. He has since deleted the post, but according to his manager’s statement, the 26-year-old artist is hopeful.

Chris is scheduled to tour in Australia in December and now has 28 days to appeal the Immigration Minister’s decision.
