2015 Coachella Valley Music And Arts Festival - Weekend 2 - Day 1

Azealia Banks has apologized for using the f-word during her recent plane altercation. That wasn’t the first time she has come under fire for using the word, but is it really considered homophobic if she’s actually part of the LGBT community?

Anyway, during her apology, which was posted in a string of tweets, Banks said that she was reacting out of fear. She said that as a victim of domestic violence, her response when men get in her face is fight or flight.

Here’s what she said:

Banks also mentioned being raised by an abusive mother and being bipolar. People like to joke about her, or write her off as “crazy,” but she has legitimate issues (and a lot of what she says about racism is actually valid). I hope that in dealing with this crazy industry, being so vulnerable, and people having too much access to her online, that there’s at least one person in her life who can make her get much needed therapy.
