White Florida Teacher Holds A Lawsuit After Being Fired For Having Black Boyfriend

Audrey Dudek, previously a teacher for Edgewater High School in Florida’s Orange County, is now taking action after being fired and subjected to a racist skit by her colleagues. Dudek, a White woman, alleges that administrators tried to shame her for having a Black boyfriend (now husband) and for affiliating herself with people of color on her staff. She says she was then wrongfully fired in 2013; she is suing at an unlisted amount for lost wages, “emotional pain” and “reputational injury.” Read more at the Huffington Post.
