Who the hell is Quentin Miller?
Well, according to Meek Mill, Miller is Drake’s alleged ghostwriter. Quentin’s name became a quick search on Twitter when Meek Mill simply tweeted his name and credited him for making Drake one of the hottest rappers out.
To make things even more interesting, fellow Atlanta rapper OG Maco posted a picture of Drake’s If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late credits with Quentin Miller’s name on the songwriter line.
We don’t know too much about this seemingly elusive artist, but one thing we do know: if Quentin is, in fact, Drake’s writer, someone needs to sign him immediately.
Seriously, he needs a deal…like yesterday.
So here’s what we know so far about Quentin Miller:
It appears Quentin is an Atlanta native and part of the hip-hop duo WDNG Crshrs with fellow ATLien CoolisMac. Back in February, Quentin and CoolisMac dropped the first visual off their UTDinfiniti EP.
Like Drake, Quentin and CoolisMac are tennis fans (or maybe they just make a good ass tennis-inspired video). Their most recent music video, “Serve,” dropped back in May.
If you like what you see, here’s WDNG Crshrs’ entire EP.
Quentin’s name is credited on seven songs off Drake’s IYRTITL. Is he writing hooks? Is he writing raps? Who knows.
All of your favorite If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late songs, including “Legend,” “Energy,” “10 Bands,” “Know Yourself,” “No Tellin,” “Used To,” and “6 Man,” have Quentin Miller’s name in the credits section of the album.
Drake even adds Quentin’s name in the “Thank You” part of the album by referring to him as “QM.”
“This tape would not be possible without: Noel, Boi 1DA, Vinylz, 40, Oliver, OB, Cans, QM, Hush, Kenza, PND, Hazelton Hotel, Palace Hotel, Sota Studios, Sandra Gale Studio at the YOLO Estate, GGM, Zoe Kravitz, Wondagurl, Roxy, Do Eric and Big Tho, Nation Karim, Theo, RiFF RAFF, Skepta, Chief Keef, Travi$ Scott, Jimmy Prime, Amir Obe, Madonna and Ginuwine”
Drake’s longtime producer Boi-1da also produced a song titled “Cinematic” for Quentin on his solo project Hey! Thanks A Lot 2.
He doesn’t have much of a social media presence, but if you want to see Quentin live and you live in Atlanta, he has a scheduled performance with CoolisMac today.
On his personal Soundcloud page, Quentin links his Hulkshare page with lots of older material that features samples. Check it out here.
We have a feeling that this story is far from over, so stay tuned.
