Last month, Marla James, a volunteer for the Sky High Holistic was involved in a raid at theMedical Dispensaries store in Santa Ana, Ca.
Marla is legally blind and is an amputee who relies on a wheelchair to get around… during this raid, you see in the surveillance video the cops disrespecting Marla when they realized she was handicap.
You can clearly hear in the vid, the cops saying “Did you punch that one-legged old Bentita?” “I was about to kick her in ****ing nub,” a female cop says.
You see the cops trashing the cameras, but they didn’t realize that the shop had hidden surveillance and it’s a good thing because you can see the cops eating the edibles too. That’s the marijuana treats that they sell in the store.
During an interview with the local TV, Marla says, “How can I respect someone like that? It just makes your stomach turn — maybe she doesn’t know what it’s like to have an amputation. I don’t know what was going through her head, but man that was so disrespectful.”
So rapper Too Short decided to help out Marla by giving her a nice updated chair to use instead of the one she was seen riding when she was raided.
He says, “You know we saw what happened man, the video went viral, what happened to Marla man. We just want, want to do some good man. We felt there was some injustice in there somewhere and than we’re a real advocate for marijuana all the way across the board, legalize marijuana.
He and his boy produced the chair to Marla and you see her joy in it.
