2. UVA Dean Sues Rolling Stone For Defamation In Gang Rape Investigative Report
Months after the story published, the Rolling Stone is still under fire for its faulty reporting in its infamous gang rape story at the University of Virginia. Nicole P. Eramo, an associate dean of students, is now suing the publication for wrongly portraying her as the “chief villain” who discouraged the rape victim for coming forward to testify. 3. Obama Gets Pushback From Senate Democrats on Pacific Trade Deal
Obama and the Republicans are finally agreeing on something for a change, but it’s the Democrats that are putting up a fight in the president’s efforts at a trade deal with Asia. 4. Commuter Train Derails, Leaves 6 Dead and Approximately 150 Injured
Wednesday morning started off to a grave and in some cases fatal start for some commuters headed from Washington, D.C. to New York. More than 200 people have now been treated from a train crash last night at Philadelphia hospitals and eight are in critical condition. Read the story here at CNN.
5. US Sets its Sights on Cuba’s Lung Cancer Vaccine
Researchers in the US are preparing to evaluate the Climavax vaccine developed in Cuba for approval from the Food and Drug Administration.
