North Mesquite High School, Offensive tackle Jean Delance decided to de-commit himself from from Oklahoma University after the video of Sigma Alpha Epsilon went viral.
“Very uneducated people. I wouldn’t want my son or child to go there or to anywhere like that or my brothers go anywhere like that. It was just very disturbing to me I didn’t like it,” said Delance.

OU’s President said that the video was heartbreaking and he issued a statement to students, “To those who have misused their free speech in such a reprehensible way, I have a message for you. You are disgraceful. You have violated all that we stand for. You should not have the privilege of calling yourselves “Sooners.” Real Sooners believe in equal opportunity. Real Sooners treat all people with respect. Real Sooners love each other and take care of each other like family members.”
Luckily, Delance is a junior in high school still so his early commitment was easily changed. He wrote on Twitter, Firstly want to say thank you for giving me an opportunity to get my education and play football at OU, but I have  Officially de-committed from Oklahoma University. Nothing to withe the staff or team, I’ll be reopening my recruitment due to personal reasons.”
Thankfully, three hours after he posted his tweet to OU, Delance posted a picture and a message saying he was headed to Tuscaloosa, Alabama for a meeting.
