In wake of the 18 year anniversary of Notorious B.I.G.’s death, a couple chefs in N.Y.C come together in offering gourmet food inspired by the late Biggie Smalls.
Two chefs come together to create a six-course meal that was inspired by rap lyrics from Biggie Smalls.
Restaurants, All’onda’s chef Chris Jaeckle and Talde’s chef Dale Talde are the creators of the “comical culinary rhymes.”
The six-course meal starts here with the culinary rhymes that Biggie used that came from his line “V8 juice drinkin, Slimfast blendin.” This lyric starts the dinner with “spiced tomato soup.”

You also have “Cracked pepper jerk crab and lobster toast”, this came from the rap lyric, “country house, tennis courts, and horseback ridin’, decidin’: cracked crab or lobster?”
And here this course is offering a “butter poached escargot”  of course you know that came from the song Hypnotize. That famous line is “Escargot my car go 160 swiftly, wreck it buy a new one, your crew run run your crew run run.”
The chefs took the fact of Biggie’s Jamaican heritage and his love for spicy patties from Golden Crust because that’s what make them create the fourth course, “curried oxtail patties, pickled scot bonnet and ginger relish.”
These chefs really thought about it all because they knew that the rapper also had love for Junior’s cheesecakes. They say that Biggie enjoyed digging into a strawberry slice with a coke so Chef Talde created it into “G.O.A.T”— milk cheesecake, strawberry jam and cola caramel.”
This six-course meal is only available at All’onda in Union Square (N.Y.C.) from 5:30 pm to 10:30 pm and with the cost of $85.
