Despite his elite defense, Patrick Beverly is often overlooked playing next to his Houston Rockets All-NBA team members James Harden and Dwight Harden. Beverly earned some individual acclaim Saturday night by besting Atlanta’s Jeff Teague and Milwaukee’s Brandon Knight in the NBA All-Star Weekend’s Skills Challenge.
After Beverly struggled with the chest-pass portion of the challenge during the semi-final round, Teague built a sizeable lead. But Beverly was able to come back as Teague struggled with his final jumper. This is Beverly’s first win in the Skills Challenge.
