We are just a few days away from Super Bowl XLIX between two great teams in the Seattle Seahawks and the New England Patriots. But is anybody talking about the X’s and O’s of this game.
Nope. Not at all.
It’s all about “Deflate-gate” and how Seahawks RB Marshawn Lynch is “not” talking. This has has become ridiculous.
At Tuesday’s NFL Super Bowl Media Day Lynch got asked 29 questions and he answered everyone of them with “I’m here so I won’t get fined.” He was asked if he “loved his kids” and did he prefer “puppy or kitten videos”. He occasionally changed the delivery but for the most part he stuck to the same script.
Now NFL rules say he has to provide the media with 5 minutes of his time but at the 4:51 mark, he said “time,” stood up and walked away from the microphone. Truth be told I’m not mad at him. It’s clear he has no interest in talking to the media but they insist on asking him things they know he won’t answer.
All this is just a way to make a story out of a non-story and ultimately take away from the game. And not just any game….The SUPER BOWL.
